Beijing has reported no COVID-19 infections in its nearly 700 nursing institutions since the epidemic broke out in China thanks to the preventive measures the city has taken for the safety of the susceptible group. About 50,000 elderly in overall 682 nursing homes have been well protected in Beijing. The nursing facilities in Beijing have been in closed-off management since Jan. 27. Since June 15, Beijing has implemented more targeted measures to quell a flare-up of the domestically-transmitted COVID-19 cases. Beijing on Thursday reported no new confirmed domestically transmitted cases of COVID-19. This marked that the Chinese capital city had reported no new confirmed domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases for four consecutive days.
